In exchange for a monthly premium, people with dental insurance gain access to sizeable discounts on a wide variety of services, but unlike medical insurance, the benefits tend to lean more towards prevention. Most plans also work on a calendar year or 12-month cycle in which the annual maximum coverage resets.
